Tranquil Cabins Terms and Conditions

Welcome to Tranquil Cabins! We are thrilled to have you stay with us and hope you enjoy your recess in nature. All guests must read and agree to the specific rules outlined for their booking before check-in. These rules have been developed to provide a safe and tranquil experience for our guests and staff. Please note that failure to follow these rules may result in a request to vacate the property. In such cases, guests will be held responsible for any damages incurred as a result of their noncompliance with the rules and will not be reimbursed for any expenses.

Reservations: Rates vary and are subject to change. Your rate is locked in and your credit card is charged at the time of booking. In addition to the nightly rate, all bookings are subject to taxes and additional fees. Your reservation is guaranteed until the day of arrival. After that time, if you do not check in, it will no longer be guaranteed and the cabin may be reassigned.

Methods of Payment: Mastercard, Visa, and Amex. Service fees apply.

Minimum age to book: 18 years of age.

Max booking: 14 days.

Max occupancy:

Children: Children are welcome at Tranquil Cabins, and must be accompanied by an adult throughout the entirety of the stay.

Pets: Tranquil Cabins are dog-friendly. Dogs must be added to your reservation during the booking process. There is a $50 per stay dog fee that is non-refundable.

Owners must agree to the following:

  • Dogs are expected to be well-behaved and properly vaccinated.
  • Dog waste must be picked up and immediately disposed of in the proper receptacles.
  • Dogs must remain on a leash outdoors at all times.
  • Dogs are the responsibility of the owner and the dog’s owner(s) are liable for any damage or injuries caused by their dog.
  • Management reserves the right to restrict disruptive or aggressive dogs.
  • Limit 2 dogs per site.
  • Dogs must be supervised at all times.
  • Report any damage caused by dogs immediately to management.

All guests must be aware that dogs may have occupied the cabin previous to their stay. Pets other than dogs are not permitted at Tranquil Cabins. Tranquil Cabins is not responsible for any negative reactions regarding pet allergies or otherwise.

Events, Parties, Gatherings, Groups: Tranquil Cabins is a peaceful retreat that aims to provide guests with the opportunity to disconnect from everyday life and reconnect with nature. Bookings are limited to four at a time to maintain a serene atmosphere, as larger groups tend to be louder and more disruptive. The goal is to continue to provide a tranquil and restful experience for guests. No parties, events, or large gatherings are permitted.

Visitors: Only registered guests are allowed at Tranquil Cabins.

Check-in

Check-out

Departure: As you prepare to leave, please ensure that the cabin is tidy and all food and your items are in your possession. Remember to lock the door and dispose of all trash in the provided receptacles before leaving. Please note that Tranquil Cabins cannot be held responsible for any personal belongings left behind after check-out. Finally, the security code will be remotely changed for the next guest’s safety and privacy.

Extending Your Stay: If you would like to stay longer, please let us know at least 24 hours before your check-out date. We will do our best to accommodate your new plans and this may include relocating you.

Cancelation Policy: 10 days or more before reservation 75% refund, less than 10 days before reservation 0% refund.

How to cancel: Email [email protected] and provide the details of your stay, including your full name and booking number.

Refund Policy: Same as the cancellation policy.

Conduct: Please be respectful of others and refrain from loud noise, obscene activity, or any disruptive conduct that may disturb, endanger, or inconvenience another guest.

Quiet hours: Sunset to Sunrise

Parking:

No RVs or towable vehicles are allowed on Tranquil Cabins property.

Bikes: The safe and responsible use of bicycles is allowed on Tranquil Cabins property. Please follow all standard safety rules (ie wear a helmet, and keep bikes locked when not in use), Tranquil Cabins is not responsible for any theft, damage, or injuries.

Traffic signs: For your safety and the safety of others, please adhere to all traffic signs.

Speed limit: 15 mph on main roads, and 10 mph on cabin loops.

Tents/ structures: Cabin areas are served with underground utilities. Tent or canopy stakes could be seriously damaged during installation, and are therefore prohibited.

Smoking: All tranquil cabins are non-smoking units. All forms of smoking, including but not limited to cigarettes, e-cigs, and vaping are strictly prohibited indoors. Violators will be asked to vacate the property, and any evidence of smoking in a Tranquil Cabins unit will result in a $200 fine. Outdoor smoking must be at least 20 feet away from cabins and smokers must be mindful of other guests. Any evidence of smoking outdoors must be properly disposed of, and proper fire safety measures followed. Smoking evidence left behind outdoors will result in a $200 fine.

No Trespassing: Do not cross onto other sites. Natural barriers between campsites are part of the Tranquil Cabins design. Please respect those and only enter your campsite from the driveway.

Eating areas: Keep food in designated eating areas and dispose of your food and trash properly. Refrain from feeding wildlife.

Cabin Interior: All things inside the cabin should remain inside, including but not limited to: kitchen utensils and linens.

Trash: No littering. Dispose of all trash in the provided receptacles.

Fire Pit: The fire pit is intentionally located away from structures. This defensible space is a buffer between the cabin on your site and the grass, trees, shrubs, or any wildland surrounding it. Please do not move the firepit.

Campfire Use:

Photography and filming: Photography and filming for personal use is only permitted within the boundaries of your booked site. Photography or filming of other guests or in areas outside your booked site is prohibited. Drone photography is prohibited. Professional Photography is not permitted.

Fireworks: No fireworks allowed on Tranquil Cabins property.

Weapons: The open or visible display of any firearm or weapon is strictly forbidden. The discharge of any firearm is not permitted, and a violation of state law.

“Under Section 30.07, Penal Code (trespass by license holder with an openly carried handgun), a person licensed under Subchapter H, Chapter 411, Government Code (handgun licensing law), may not enter this property with a handgun that is carried openly”

Guests who fail to abide by this policy will be asked to leave the premises, without a refund. Tranquil Cabins is private property, and our firearms policy applies to (i) all firearms, regardless of whether the firearm is a handgun or a long-barreled gun; and (ii) all guests and visitors, even those possessing a valid license or permit to carry a firearm.

Hunting: No hunting is allowed on Tranquil Cabin’s property.

Illegal Activity: Guests participating in Illegal activity of any kind will be reported to the authorities, fined, and asked to immediately vacate the premises.

Damages and Theft: Any damage or theft to our property will be charged to the guest responsible.

Statement of Caution: Remember that guests are responsible for their safety and are expected to have basic kitchen, campfire, and wilderness survival skills. This includes, but is not limited to, not leaving cooking or campfires unattended, and not leaving food out, among other things. By booking guests affirm that they understand and accept this responsibility.

Wildlife-Specific Caution: Guests understand that our campgrounds are situated in a secluded, rural, and rugged setting. Guests who book a cabin agree to take appropriate safety measures to prevent negative interactions with wildlife in the area. These measures include but are not limited to, refraining from engaging with wild animals, keeping food out of their reach, maintaining a clean site, and securing all trash and personal items. Additionally, guests should take necessary precautions against ticks, mosquitoes, and other insects that may be present. Please be mindful not to harm the habitat or wildlife. It is important to note that Tranquil Cabins is not liable for any personal injury due to wildlife or insects.

Inclement Weather: We hope for perfect weather during your travels, but unfortunately, Mother Nature is unpredictable. We do not offer “rain checks”. Keep in mind that we are open year-round. Therefore you may encounter all types of weather including extreme high and low temperatures, wind, rain, hail, snow, and ice. We are not responsible for damage caused by inclement weather. If your stay is cut short due to a mandatory weather-related evacuation we will contact you to reschedule at no charge.

Guest Safety: As part of our commitment to guest safety, featured in every cabin are internal door locks, a fire extinguisher, a first aid kit, and smoke and carbon monoxide detectors. In addition, Tranquil Cabins’ employees will not disclose the identity, cabin location, or presence of a guest to anyone other than appropriate law enforcement. It is the responsibility of guests to contact local emergency services at their discretion.

Liability: Tranquil Cabins is not responsible for any injuries, accidents, or lost/stolen items that occur during your stay with us.

Top Bunk Weight Limit: 250 lb total capacity

Bunk Bed: A child who is under six years old, non-ambulatory, or subject to seizures or other medical or physical problems who may require greater caregiver supervision and caregiver access must not use a top bunk bed.

I understand that the use of bunk beds involves certain risks, including but not limited to falls, injuries, and even death. I further understand that Tranquil Cabins takes no responsibility for any injuries or damages that may occur as a result of the use of the bunk beds. In consideration of being allowed to use the bunk beds provided by Tranquil Cabins, I hereby release and hold harmless Tranquil Cabins, its owners, employees, and agents from any claims, demands, and causes of action arising from or in any way connected with my use of the bunk beds. I hereby acknowledge that I have read this Hold Harmless Waiver for Bunk Beds and fully understand its contents. I voluntarily agree to the terms and conditions stated herein and assume all risks associated with the use of the bunk beds.

Cabin Cleaning: Cabin cleaning is an essential step in ensuring a comfortable and safe stay for Tranquil Cabin guests. We strive to maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene. Cabin cleaning is conducted between guests but not during their stay. During cabin cleaning, strict measures are taken to ensure that all areas are properly disinfected and sanitized. Special attention is paid to frequently touched surfaces such as doorknobs, light switches, and remote controls.

Acceptance of the terms and conditions clause: Upon booking any reservation within a Tranquil Cabins property, the guest automatically accepts the terms and conditions, and must comply with at all times.
